A leading German telecommunications service provider lacked efficient access to machine data for failure analysis. The company also wanted to find out what potential existed for efficiency increases and automation through artificial intelligence (AI) and needed a central data platform for analytics.
First, all of the requirements and use cases in the relevant departments were worked out and collected together. Based on the requirements and challenges identified, the existing analytics tools were evaluated and a target operating model for data-driven decision making in the company was developed. Ultimately, a target picture for the analytics IT infrastructure was developed and various technological options were evaluated.
